“Del Brenta is a forward-thinking company that continues to innovate, and we’re extremely proud to have contributed,” commented Enrico Miolo from Cisco Italy. “The core of the solution is called Spark Board, a tool that integrates interactive whiteboard functions, videoconferencing, and presentation screen capabilities. The Spark Board connects to the Cloud and includes everything needed to collaborate and work in teams. We brought together all the tools to simplify meetings and make them truly productive—Del Brenta does the rest.”
The simplicity and immediacy of the solution, along with productivity improvements, overcame even the minimal resistance that new technologies typically face within companies. Its adoption and use have spread without limits across roles and departments. From administration to the technical office, from the modeling department to logistics, everyone has accelerated their communications, surpassing even email in terms of speed and effectiveness, and solving problems in real time.
This new mode of communication allows Del Brenta to also reduce waste and errors during production. Thanks to this solution, many trips to check the status of production can be avoided, saving time and money (a 10-minute conference call instead of 5 hours of round-trip driving). Moreover, making communication more efficient has significantly reduced the risk of errors in the production process. With Cisco Spark, the error rate in mold creation was reduced from 10% to about 1%.
“Cisco Spark allows us to offer an incredible experience to our clients who, by installing a free app, gain direct access to our technicians and to the projects they are working on without needing to visit us in person,” added Bezzon. “But that’s not all—designers around the world contact their trusted modeler via Spark, quickly and at any time, to share thoughts on models, materials, and ideas, reinforcing a relationship of trust. The next step will involve Cisco Spark and other digital tools, including HD cameras, seamlessly integrated by VEM, to make this experience even better.”
“Always thinking about the future,” adds Paolo Zanoni, account manager at VEM Sistemi who followed the project, “Del Brenta is integrating the APIs of Cisco Spark with its ERP system in order to align everyone in the company with what’s happening in real time and in a push mode, to make its collaboration solution even more efficient and effective.”
“And it’s extremely different from having to go around the company searching for the information you need,” concludes Bezzon. “We can say goodbye to wasted time and a good amount of stress, now that information comes to us.”
