The VEM Group reaffirms its desire to contribute to building a technology sector that values inclusion and gender equality by sponsoring two Summer Camps to bring high school students closer to the world of information technology and digital technologies.
Forlì, 12 May 2025 – Once again this year, VEM sistemi, one of Italy’s most innovative ICT players, confirms its proximity to the world of education and innovation, supporting the ‘Ragazze Digitali’ (Digital Girls) project, an active orientation initiative promoted by the Emilia-Romagna Region aimed at bringing high school girls closer to the world of information technology and digital technologies, overcoming gender stereotypes. From 16 to 27 June, third and fourth grade girls will be able to participate in two free training campuses, scheduled in Modena and Forlì-Cesena, both sponsored by VEM Sistemi.
The initiative represents a concrete opportunity to encourage a more balanced participation of men and women in the world of technology. The project offers a 48-hour immersive experience that this year will be divided into two tracks:
Modena: creating a video game to learn digital
The campus organised by the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia together with the Aldini Valeriani Foundation School of Industrial Management of Confindustria Emilia – Area Centro offers a practical and engaging experience in the world of software design and development. The girls, thanks to a creative group workshop, will give life to a 3D video game, learning while having fun. One course, many opportunities to discover how stimulating the potential of technology can be for girls.
Registration is open until 4 June 2025 at the following link.
Forlì-Cesena: Artificial Intelligence at the Service of Human being
On the Cesena campus, thanks to the University of Bologna and the Ser.In.Ar. Foundation, girls will be able to immerse themselves in the world of artificial intelligence and algorithms to understand how these technologies are already revolutionising fundamental sectors such as healthcare, public services and industry. A perfect opportunity to take their first steps into digital, ignite their curiosity and perhaps find inspiration for the future.
Registration is open until 6 June 2025 at the following link.
An ongoing commitment to growth
VEM sistemi contributes to the construction of an inclusive and dynamic digital ecosystem. Support for the ‘Digital Girls’ project is part of the company’s broader commitment to female empowerment, talent enhancement and ongoing dialogue with the world of education and training.
‘We are proud to renew our support for a project that aims to inspire the female professionals of the future,’ says CEO Stefano Bossi. ‘We strongly believe in the potential of the younger generations and in the need to promote training paths that open up new perspectives in the world of technological innovation, under the banner of inclusion and gender equality.’
Looking to the future, today
The ‘Ragazze Digitali’ summer camp thus confirms itself as a strategic initiative to bring female students closer to the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) universe in an experiential and engaging way. With the contribution of companies such as VEM sistemi, which have always believed in the synergy between business, school and university, the project aims to train not only technical skills, but also a new awareness of the opportunities offered by digital technology.
